A series of prop assets complementing the Bomb Squad character set, to be used as accessories and for kitbashing.
Some of the raw geometry and UVs of these assets is outsourced based on the provided concept sheets. Then UVs are furthered tweaked and texturing is done. Here the modeling of the keypad, yellow grenade, dynamite pack, claymore, modem and LCD unit were outsourced.
Detailing is conveyed through soft and hard edges on the raw "mediumpoly" geometry, and a round edge pass is baked to the normalmap. This gives a clean TF2 look without having to model a high poly source.
Further texture details are then added : dirt pass, vertical gradient, paint chips, leaks, graphics. Metalness and Roughness maps provide material separation.
